Kind to Planet

Kind to planet

Our devotion to help revitalise the 5,000-year-old medical science of Ayurveda began with sourcing the botanicals and natural actives , in a sustainable and authentic manner. The forest communities, small-scale farmers, and artisans we work with live in harmony with their environment. We support sustainable and environmentally friendly initiatives, promoting and spreading the messages of recycling and responsible consumption.

As an initiative to be more sustainable, we are creating a green production facility, nestled in Palladam, south of India, the heart of Ayurveda. The aim is to create a sustainable living and production environment, owing to our values. We are in the process of significantly increasing the green cover around the factory, creating a small forest that provides us a cooler micro-climate within which to operate. A sustainable small-scale research facility backed by a medicinal garden. In addition, we have incorporated waste management solutions, rainwater harvesting and inducing power through solar panels. This factory has become a sustainable living and production space for those that work there – kind to the planet and the people.

Even our product packaging is now made from recycled plastic, making it Post-Consumer Resin (PCR) packaging – reducing the impact on landfills. We aim to go above and beyond in making every aspect of Kama Ayurveda sustainable and environmentally conscious.

We are against animal-testing and animal cruelty, and have received Peta certification as recognition for this. No pretence, no contaminants, and no dilution.
